So, if you have hit the front page lately, you may have noticed that it is now displaying the last 5 posts on the Verses forum as well as news, on there. I’m not sure if I am going to keep it this way, but will see how it goes.

Along with all my other changes to Homewolf over the last week, I have been working on updating the default theme. I liked the prior version when I first deployed it, but after awhile it started to look too bland to me. Thus, I have moved to the current theme, which I have dubbed “Warmth”. (Being stuck in Michigan at this time of year, I need all of the warmth I can get! ;) )

This new default requires IE7+ or any other modern, up to date browser. I’ve tested in Firefox 3.5, Safari, and Chrome; all of which looks much better than the IE version due to support for rounded corners.

I’ll update and post additional themes as I can, if there is actually requests to do so.

I am deleting all user accounts that have no posts at all. After that, I shall start working on user accounts with no e-mail addresses listed; though those will be more selective. After that, I shall be sending mail to user accounts to verify the accounts. Anything not flagged (like, I can’t get rid of my mother or nieces accounts) that doesn’t ‘true up’ in say, 30-60 days, will also be flagged for removal.

It’s time I clean this house. It has to be done.

Hey, just want to warn you all, that I’m going to be working on HomeWolf over the next few weeks. Refactoring some code and…removing all the stale user accounts, including all their posts. I’m going to be implementing a e-mail verification, something I have been resisting, but should have done long ago. It’s long overdue.

So, if things break, I’m sorry, but I’m trying to make the site better and easier to use. The state of the forum is outdated and…dumb.

So, yeah…

So, I have finally broken down…and am now on Facebook. Well, I have been for a bit, but have decided to start using it more. As well, I am on Twitter as well, but that has been mostly posting haikus for no other reason that staying under 140 characters. I’m a dork.
