Ok, sorry. This is NOT a suggestion BOX, so to speak, but more of a suggestion in itself.
Anywho, I wonder, LW, if you might be able to put up the feature that let’s us know whether or not anything new has been posted on any forums? I like to log on, glance at the toolbar for any updates, rather than scroll through the boards and try and figure out whether or not I’ve read this or that, commented on that, oh, wow, I wrote that?, etc. I dunno about the rest of you…
I also don’t know if you still want that feature up on the new HW or not, but…
Yeah.
Like I said, SuGgEsTiOn…
Hope you don’t mind. :)

Yup, that is on the way as well. . The old site had the number of new posts in the last 24 hours, or if you logged in, any many new posts since you had last logged in, in the menu. To me, that was ugly (and quite hackish) so I am playing with a couple ideas:
* Making new posts in the last 24 hours some how stand out on the forum listing. (My fave at the moment…) * Have a forum ‘tally’ box at the top of each forum. (Least fave, causes more clutter.)I’m always open to new ideas.

I like the first idea.

That is the direction I will probably take then, and if nobody likes it, I can blame you. ;) Kidding, kidding…
So, what could I do to make a post show up as “new” in the listing? I could use a little graphic, but that could cause issues with different themes. I tend to prefer to HTML elements (bold, italics, colors… Hmmm, maybe a different color?)

I like that first idea. It’s how I’m used to on forums (phpforums and bbsforums etc.)
Why write when someone will criticize? Why draw will people will critique? Because I write and draw to say I can, and I do it in my own way. Get over it.
