I’ve been 25 for quite some time now. :D

I started to post this in a reply, but it kinda got long, so I created a HomeWolf History page for it. Sorry if it’s a bit wordy, but I did manage to cut it down some from the original draft. ;)

What a cool question and history you guys! I am trying to remember when I found Homewolf. I think I came just before the fourth version, sometime either late 2000 or early 2001 (not sure when fourth version started but I remember a change over) I did some digging and I found a stack of old poems from 2001 I printed off the boards at that time. Looks like there is some formatting to the title, and a box with verses board, follow-ups and The Den. I almost want to cry reading these old pages, I have beautiful replies from Prophet in here I forgot I had! LW, I also have a copy of your poem “The Eleventh Day” that I read for a long time after 9-11. I have to laugh at myself though, I used to post as zoeybee, zoeysea, zoeyb, etc…boy talk about not knowing who I was!!! Hahaha!

When HW crashed in 2004 I realized how much a part of my life it was. Not having a place where I could go to share what I write was really scary. You’ve done an amazing job keeping us all together over the years LW, sometimes I get so frustrated and I struggle with how I feel about what I write. But I keep coming back because there is just something about Homewolf, something very unique and important to me! Thank you again, for all you’ve done, and for doing it at all!!!

I remember when you came on here KB, you were just Blackfire, I think you also had another name before that (did you, if so what was it?? I am getting old too…lol my memory is going)

BTW, 25 is YOUNG. I didn’t think you were that young! I am approaching my mid 30’s (ahem) this year and it is a little daunting! Happy birthday to you :)

Zoey: can you send me that poem?! I lost it long ago. :( I’d love to read it again myself.

I’m glad the site means something to others. It was just a hobby, just some geeky, creative fun, but I like the friends I’ve made over the years here. Same day, when I am able to get my writing gears back into motion, I hope to post again myself.
