Easy come, Easy go

Ch.1

I sat resting my head against the cool linoleum surface of the table with a cup of hot chocolate in hand. The rain was coming down harder now and it made an absolute din as it crashed into the metal roof of the shed outside. Although, greatly to my regret, I could still here traces of the arguing upstairs.
“Frank she’s a bad influence, her and her sister and I won’t stand to have them under this roof any longer!”
“Donna she’s a child and why do you think she had anything to do with her sister! Where’d do you proposed to send her anyway!”
“Boarding School! That’s what I’ve been saying the whole time, have you not been listening?!”
The voices of my father and my step-mother wafted down from above. It was pretty obvious to me that she just wanted to get rid of any trace of my mother, and thanks to my sister she had the chance. Although my sister wouldn’t be around for the punishment. She was already long gone, and I don’t mean in a geographical sense. Sadly, I don’t think losing her affected me too much. Heck, I didn’t even really know her in the first place, seeing as she was too busy with her gang to ever be around and now I really hated her. Eventually, I knew my step-mother would win and I would be shipped off. Then Donna could have her perfect little life with my father and her daughter Amy and I would just be a distant nightmare that took up a small part of the family budget. So then I decided, I thought, “why should I have to stick around for months enduring the ongoing fighting about an already fixed decision.” I got up and pushed my chair in and walked upstairs. I knocked on the door of my their bedroom and the arguing suddenly stopped. “Come in” said the slightly hesitant voice of my step-mother. I walked in. " Oh Haruenna (my mother liked unusual names) it’s you" she said. “I’ve decided to go to boarding school,” I said. The words felt light on my tongue and made me feel dizzy. My step-mother stood there a moment and my dad looked confused. “Darling, are you sure this is what you want?” my dad asked looking a little sad. “Yes,” I said and then it was sealed my course was set and I could only hang on for the ride.

We are going to be alive for as long as our lifespan lasts and we can either enjoy it or fret about it with ultimately the same ending result.

Ah, my Raphie-chan! You are back!

This is a really good set-up. Can’t wait for more!

Tell me no more stories. No, don’t tell me no lies. No one wants to hurt me, but everybody tries.

Tres magnifique! (Sorry, I’m on a laptop and accents won’t work).

Sometimes, when I say “oh, I’m fine,” I want someone to look me in the eyes and say “Tell the truth.”
