A sonnet! A sonnet *3! Imagine that! Three sonnets! All in the same poem! Imagine that! Imagine that!
“*”
The world would end today,
If not for your troubled past.
Perhaps quietly in vain,
We will fight to the last.
Always have we endured:
Troubled in hope and time.
We had hope, green pastures,
But without bread and wine.
Body and blood,
We drink and we eat.
Angels’ tears flood,
And we stop for deceit.
Perhaps if you had known,
Perhaps gold would have grown.
Canceled in truth,
Living in regret,
Fighting tooth to tooth,
Never will we pay our debts.
Always have we endured:
Troubled in hope and time.
We had hope, green pastures,
But without bread and wine.
Red wax and seal,
Blood-binding secrets,
Forever unreal,
But truthful deaths.
Left for death while immortal,
Freed from eternity immoral.
Love had us star cross’d,
And would have us dead,
If not for our strife lost,
And our constant dread.
Destruct,
And find.
Construct,
Be blind.
Tell me not to listen,
I’ll leave if you say.
Red monster to christen,
Triumph to betray.
Cry away to the sun,
Follow the woeful none.
